There is not much hunting gear manufactured that hunters of all big game species cannot use. What I mean is, other than the specialized tools, like deer calls, elk calls, moose calls etc. the gear we use for deer hunting can be used for elk hunting too.

As you know, this website is directed towards moose hunters, but this page has been dedicated to big game hunting gear. Why?

Hunting gear for the most part is universal. The knives we use, the clothes we wear and the boots we put on our feet are going to be the same no matter which species we hunt. Don't you agree?

We often are asked about this product or that product and we do give our recommendations. However,we are not a hunting gear review site, there are many of those on the net. Instead we have assembled into one area, products we use or know of that are good quality and will stand up to the rigorous use of big game hunters.

I realize there are specific needs when hunting in various geographic areas. You don't need polar fleece long underwear when hunting elk in September down in New Mexico, but you will need it if hunting Moose in Alaska... anytime!
