Canvas Wall Tent for Base Camp

Canvas Wall Tent for Base Camp

I'm a 27 year old combat vet and avid sportsman. I've been putting in for my tag and just waiting for that lucky year that I draw mine.

I'm looking for any and all advice for a DIY moose hunt in New Brunswick. I live in Maine so I'll be driving to the lodge or base camp.

I'm trying to decide if I should just go camp or stay at a lodge or... all I really need is a cabin in good moose territory.

non-resident moose hunt NB
by: goshen hunter

You had best check out the game laws in NB first.

You need to enter the non-resident draw
check the on-line 'Big Game Report' that will tell you the odds of getting drawn.
You HAVE to hire an outfitter
The outfitter HAS to provide accommodations to a certain standard--Not a "camp"
Accommodations have to meet tourism minimum standards

That's just a start
