Bull Moose Following Cow Moose in Heat
Watched this guy chase the cow around for over a hour. Even though it was apparent she was in heat, she was having nothing to with him and all he could do was follow and wait!
Thanks for sharing this photo Scott. As you noted, when cow moose are in estrus, until they are ready they will not allow a bull to mount them. Cow moose are usually only in season for about three days so the bull won't have too long to wait. Then he'll move off and find another cow moose that is showing signs of estrus.
