After 8 years with .270 Weatherby MK-V using Federal Fusion 160g I took one bull with a single shot in 2016 at 80yds.

Now with my 30-06 Browning BLR shooting Hornady 178g ELDX. Bull down first season with this gun 2021 The 2021 bull was broadside for first shot low in lungs. It turned & ran so I drilled it from behind and hit it in the head as he swung around to look back at me...he kept running...300yds down into the swamp to lie down.

I waited 15 minutes and walked towards him and he went to get up, so I drilled him again in the noodle a 2nd time at 20 yards.

I was astonished how far he ran with a hole in his boiler and one in the head. It had a 54 inch rack!
