Bull Moose Dies in Crack in Earth

Bull Moose caught in crevasse; what a terrible way to die. Sometimes Mother nature is very cruel don't you think. I suppose that a lot of little animals and bugs were able to survive the winter by feeding on the Moose.
There must be some relation between this Moose and a Human Hiker that falls into a glacier. Sad!

Terrible way to go!
by: Mark - Site Owner

It troubles me somewhat to look at these pictures. The moose must have suffered terribly before succumbing. I know that in the grand scheme of the world this is just another day in nature, it doesn't make it any easier to accept.
I have no idea where or when these pictures were taken, I guess that is of no consequence. An unforgiving landscape where the earth can literally swallow you whole.

In sadness.
