how long to call moose

Hi, Can you tell me how long to call moose in time in between call, or do you have a call sequence. Tks from FM in NB Canada.
Hi Frank,
That is a very good question. When I set up to call moose, I usually wait about 10 minutes after arriving before I make my first call.
My first call, I use my hands cupped to my mouth and give a low, and soft cow moose call. Then I sit motionless (it drives me crazy when people fidget). It is important to sit absolutely motionless in order to hear those faint calls in the distance. The rustling of clothing can cover the sounds of moose responses.
My calling timing after that is about every ten minutes. Be patient... sometimes you may not receive an answer for hours.
I will vary between 2 to 4 calls when I call. Sometimes I use my birch bark horn, other times I only use my hands.
Another very good idea, is too make some bull sounds. I don't do this all the time, and there really is no timing for it. I'll move away (10 - 50 yards) from where I am cow moose calling and I'll rake a tree and thrash a bush with my moose scapula... make a couple of bull grunts too!
This season, I hunted the exact same location for 8 days in a row. I arrived before daybreak and stayed until noon, returning at around 3 in the afternoon. I had bulls coming in or at least answering me on each outing except two.
