Hunt During Moon Phase
Does it matter if you hunt during a full moon or not? I have heard that it is not a good time to hunt as they feed during the night and do not move around in the day time.
While true, moose will feed on clear moonlit nights, you can still find moose moving early in the morning and just before dark. These are typically the best times to find moose on the move anyway.
This year (2012), on the days after the full moon I had bull moose action both morning and evening for 8 days in a row. In my case at least... the moose were moving for several hours after sunrise and for about an hour before sunset. We had clear, windless conditions every day.
