Maine Moose Hunter
I have shot many animals including 1 elk, mule deer and many whitetails with my Winchester Mod 70 30-06 including 2 moose that is my gun of choice . I have carried this gun afield for almost 40 years. However that being said I am trying my Browning A Bolt .300 win mag this year shooting hand loaded 180 g Nosler partitions which have taken elk and whitetails.
Thanks for your input. Let us know how the switch goes. I am always curious to know which calibers are preferred by hunters and which they have the most success with.
I met a hunter in the field this season who said because of my website he was able to decide on a rifle caliber to use for moose. He purchased a 30-06
