"So What's Your Favorite of All the Moose Recipes?"

Our favorite moose recipes? That's a question we are asked a lot. You see, we have family dinner every Sunday night that comprises of, on average 12 family members or close friends attending.

Please join with us as we share some of our favorite moose meat recipes and hopefully you will do the same. There are not many places where you can find a great selection of moose recipes.

Help us build a library for all to use by sharing yours.

Moose is a member of the deer family (the largest member actually), therefore any venison recipe will make a wonderful dish. All of our moose recipes can be used with venison and as with most game recipes, beef can also be substituted and your creation will be just as delicious!

In a day where most of us purchase our meat already cut and wrapped, we explore (cook and eat) the true organic meat. We harvest our own and we know where it comes from. No longer are we subjected to chemically enhanced growth hormone injected meat. Moose meat, truly healthy.

We are foodies, we love to gather to talk and laugh, to share stories of the past week and compare plans for the future. Our Family Mantra; Food, Family, Friends and Fun

My wife says "It's a Food Life", and has chosen to write her thoughts about it. She believes that food brings people together and relishes every opportunity to plan a food gathering. She loves robust flavors and her mantra with food, wine and coffee is, "Go big or go home".

Our joy right now is our grandson Ethan, he's 15 month's old and into everything. Here he is eating blueberries... he's having a grand time!

We hope he is the next generation of moose hunter in our family. It is vitally important that we encourage young people to take up the sport of hunting, it is this age group that need to be mentored and shown that hunters are also conservationists.

There are currently three generations of our family that Hunt Moose together and we are looking forward to the fourth joining us. Moose hunting trips take a lot of planning and preparation so we plan our trips for the following season from the last day of the current hunt. My wife says I am obsessed; I tend to agree with her.

On the following pages I'll share with you our families favorite moose meat recipes. Please share your moose recipes too! Click on the links below to go to the recipe that you want to see. Be sure to report back with comments and recipe variations too!
